Ariel bought this at Ikea for Ashton because he liked a big turtle at the mall when they came to Oregon. As you can see he loved his big turtle.
It was Christmas and winter all over the park. No visit would be complete without a visit with Mickey and friends.
It was a busy day and no nap for Ashton. While he was supposed to be napping I went on Splash Mountain, the Runaway Train, and Indiana Jones. These proved to be very fun, but hard on my aging body. I came home with a sore knee and it may have occurred during this time. It was worth it.
We helped make cookies intended to give out to friends, but they were so yummy, I'm not sure how many did not get eaten by us.

We took two days to get to San Diego and the first thing Ariel did was make a gingerbread house with Ashton. This was a big hit...especially eating the leftovers.
We went to Disneyland--the happiest place on earth.
The first ride we went on was Autotopia. I think Ashton could have rode it all day, just like Roland when we first took him there.
He woke up the next morning reciting that "Ashton went in a brown car with grandma--CRAZY driver."

Small world was an exciting place. We went through twice. Nearby while waiting for the parade they had snow. "No like snow," was Ashton's opinion as the flakes landed on his eyelashes--spoken by a true Californian.
