Gramma and grandpa visit San Diego

Here we are at the Wild Animal park. Kelly likes this even better than the zoo, because it "feels" like the real things. Unfortunately she really got a wild experience when the birds let loose in their nest right above where we were sitting.

Lost boys?

Playland was fun.

What do you think of up close and personal. We were there when the lions got bones and papa gave a very loud roar when kids got too close to HIS bone. It gave Ashton a fright.

Kelly really wanted to see the baby elephant. Little did we know there were several, one only three days old trying to nurse.

Ahston really liked the train ride, just for the ride, not for seeing the animals.

Grandparenting is so fun and rewarding and less stressful than parenting.

Friday Afternoon we had a fun time at the beach.--really we did.

Ashton and Keith liked to interact in a "guy" way...being physical and driving cars.

This little guy has quite the imagination. He loved the the sharks Ariel found at the $ store. He loves driving his cars across the couch. He also loves stories and pretended he was the little bird from "Are You My Mother."

Here he is in his little nest or egg.

Hillary's daughter Bridgette

Shower for Hillary
I made a "lamb" set as her gift. Saw this pattern at a thrift store.

It's a towel, bib, burp cloth, booties and a puppet.

Little Bridgette arrived before her May due date.

Ariel loves to visit.
